In this tutorial I want to give you an idea of how you can crop photos creatively to save a bad photo you thought you couldn’t do anything with or go outside of the formats you normally capture to show something different.
In this tutorial I will show you how to save and load selections in Adobe Photoshop. Doing this will allow you to go back and load complex selections that you have made, saving having to do selections over and over again.
In this Adobe Photoshop video tutorial I will show you two selections tools that are highly useful but often forgotten: The grow and similar commands. Both of these commands help you take a selection and expand it to include similar colors, either in connection with the current selection or all over the image.
Today I came across a wonderful Lightroom plugin that I wanted to share with you. It’s called LRTimelapse and is a free plugin that you can download. It will help you create time lapse movies around many parameters.
Examples and use cases
- Alter the white balance over the time (for example for sun sets)
- Deflicker
- Make Ken-Burns effects (pan/zoom)
- Fade in / fade out
- Continuously saturate / desaturate
- and many more…
Adobe has put up the new versions of Photoshop Elements 10 and Premiere Elements 10 in the Mac App Store so that if you are on a Mac and don’t want to get the boxed version, you can just get it on the Mac App Store, which is very convenient. Getting it from the App Store also saves you $20 bucks, with the app store versions priced at $79.99 each.
In this video I will show you how to create a looping animation inside of the new Adobe Edge Preview 3 which has added functionality for actions anywhere on your animation timeline.
The Adobe Digital Publishing Suite is a very nice suite of tools to help ease the burden of digital publishing. At MAX, Adobe announced even more coolness coming to this suite, including a single user edition.
Last Friday Adobe Digital Publishing Suite Evangelist, Colin Fleming, hosted a session in the Adobe Ask a CS Pro series to explain a bit about the different versions, comparing them and helping you choose the one that is right for you. If you are interested in the DPS, this might be worthwhile to view.
Adobe always has session in the MAX program dedicated to showing off some sneak peaks at new technology that may or may not make it into the release versions. From today and on you can watch some of the sneaks live on Adobe TV. There is some pretty cool stuff being shown, especially the “Image Deblur” for Photoshop.
During Adobe MAX, Adobe announced a new labs technology called Tutorial Builder. Using this extension you will be able to create step by step tutorials from within Photoshop that can be played back using the Touch SDK from a tablet. This means that you will be able to follow tutorials that can interact with Photoshop, selecting tools and opening menus.
As an educator, this is very exciting and I am looking forward to being able to try the playback of this trough the touch apps, when they arrive.
In this tutorial I show you the brand new Image Processor Pro script by Russell Brown, freely available to download. It is much improved over the Image Processor and gives you many useful options to make your life simpler.
